When you try to change icons of file types like .exe, .bat, etc by clicking on properties, there is no option for that purpose. That option is only present in folders. With my tips you can be able to change the icon of all types of file or folders. You can insert any of the icons present on your computer.
You can even insert your own pictures in the place of icon. This is a very simple way to change the icon.
Once you install it you will see Change icon options when you right-click on any folder or file types as in the picture below:-
Click on Change Icon, select icon and set it.
