Secrets of Plastic Bottle Codes

Plastic Bottles Codes Secrets

Secrets of Plastic Bottle Codes in Tamil

  • Less Bad Plastic Numbers are - 2, 4 ,5
  • Less Bad Plastic to use only one time(Single use) is - 1
  • Very Bad Plastics codes are - 3, 6, 7

Secrets of Plastic Bottle Codes

Secrets of Plastic Bottle Codes

The number (or code) on the bottom of plastic cups, bottles and containers informs consumers about usage and safety of plastic products or containers. SURE or not?

To find out the truth, I decided to do some research. Actually, those numbers and codes that you see on plastic bottles, food packaging, and other plastic containers only tell you the specific kind of plastic material used in the product. The Resin Identification Code (or Plastic Identification Code) was introduced by the Society of Plastics Industry (SPI) to provide a uniform system for the identification of different polymer types. This helps recycling companies to separate different plastics for reprocessing.

The code was developed to meet recyclers’ needs while providing manufacturers a consistent and uniform system. The coding system offered a means of identifying the resin content of bottles and containers commonly found in the residential waste stream. The codes are used solely to identify the plastic resin used in a manufactured article, they do not tell you whether those products are hazardous for health or are safe for reuse.

However, it is always wise to exercise caution and care when using plastic food packaging and containers:

– Commercial plastic packaging that has been used for storing non-food items (e.g. detergents) should never be reused as food containers.

– Plastic packaging that are used for commercial packing of food and takeaway plastic food containers used in eating outlets are disposable items designed for single use and are not intended for repeated storage of food.

– Only use those takeaway food containers that are labelled microwave-safe for reheating food in the microwave oven. They should not be reused for microwave heating.

– Only use reusable plastic food containers (e.g., cups, plates, bowls, bottles and boxes used in household kitchens) for repeated storage of food. These containers have the sturdiness, thermal stability and other attributes needed for a reusable food container.

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle

As once stated by Ed Begley Jr.:" If you're not buying recycled products, you're not really recycling."

The conversion of waste into reusable materials is known as recycling. On a recent trip to Collier County Renewable Energy Facility, one of the biggest concerns I learned about was the recycling of the WRONG ITEMS!

There are three main ways to go about reprocessing items:

Recycling to save resources! All raw materials and all energy are provided by our blue planet Earth, but they are NOT endless. Unfortunately, most of the provided raw materials and energy are not usable as they appear in Nature and are spread globally in deposits. Men need to use a lot of energy and resources to produce the materials we need. We have to collect, clean, concentrate, and transform these resources to generate primary raw materials that are usable for people and industry.

Using recycled materials reduces the amount of energy and reduces the amount of materials we have to dig out! Most of all things we use can be recycled!
1. reducing
2. reusing
3. recycling

To reduce something is defined as to make smaller or less in amount, degree, or size. To reduce waste, simple changes such as(but are not limited to) buying products that have recycling symbols, are Eco-friendly, and items with little packaging.

Though India has many medical schools and produces thousands of medical graduates every year, there is a great shortage of doctors in rural areas. Most graduates do not wish to practice in rural areas due to understaffed hospitals and inadequate facilities.

India is one of only a few countries where graduates from local medical schools end up working in other countries all over the world, but particularly in the Middle East, the UK and the USA.

KSA’s Green Card Plan for Other Nationality

Green Card Plan for Other Nationality in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s plan to issue permanent residence or “green cards” to foreign workers has been warmly welcomed by the expatriate community.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman disclosed plans for issuing such cards similar to the US green card system that allows hiring more foreign workers for a fee.

The plan will abolish the existing sponsorship system for holders, who will be required to pay zakat and value-added taxes, if any, besides premiums on insurance, etc. They can own property and undertake commercial, industrial and related activities.

“The plan is very welcome for those living here for over 40 years. I would also suggest that naturalization be given to those who have at least one child willing to serve in the armed forces in any capacity,” said Amir Qayyum, a business development executive from India.

“This is actually in recognition of the universal human rights of residency. We are glad to see the host government extending such a privilege to deserving expats,” said John Monterona, convener of the new OFW Forces Worldwide.
A senior systems engineer at Tawuniya, Saleh Ampaso Bucay, who has been working here since 1992, described the move as a dream come true.

“I am just like many other expatriates who have spent more than half of their lives in this country. All my children were born here. So it is really a great honor if this privilege of either permanent residence or a green card is granted to us,” Bucay observed.

He added that as a Muslim, it will also be a great opportunity to work hand in hand with the citizens in developing the country and protecting it from the enemies of Islam. “I love this country and would like to die and be buried here,” he said. KSA’s Green Card Plan for Other Nationality

Gilbert G. Alarcon, senior ISO system auditor at Dar Arriyadh Consultants, said it is a good development as expats already consider Saudi Arabia their second home. “The feeling of acceptance in retrospect gives more meaning to an already fruitful partnership and cooperation between the citizens and expats.”

Rey Eduard Quiblat Umel, an architect and a project engineer, termed King Salman’s wisdom and vision “very exemplary.” The Saudi-Philippine partnership will increase by leaps and bounds, boosting the development of their peoples, he said.

“This will also help the Kingdom’s economy and increase its revenues. It will bolster their manpower without relying on oil,” said Jehad Zacaria Pangcoga, from the Philippines.

Expatriates have overwhelmingly welcomed the announcement by Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, second deputy premier and minister of defense, that Saudi Arabia was planning to give permanent residency to foreign workers similar to the US Green Card system.

“The Green Card-like program and a plan to allow employers to hire more foreign workers above their official quotas for a fee could generate $10 billion a year each,” the deputy crown prince told Bloomberg in an exclusive interview.

Non-Oil Revenue BoostNidal Ridwan, chairman of the Federation of Labor Committees in the Kingdom, told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that he expected the formation of an independent authority to implement the new system.

He said the new authority under the Cabinet would supervise implementation of the system. It will have representatives from the ministries of economy and planning, interior, labor, commerce and industry, and finance, as well as Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority and General Organization for Social Insurance.

“The new system will bring a lot of economic and social benefits. Non-Saudis will pay what the Saudis pay including Zakat, value added tax and insurance premiums. They will be allowed to own real estate and run trade, industry and service firms,” said Ridwan.

“If it is implemented, I will be the first to apply,” said Dr. M.S. Karimuddin, a long-time resident of Jeddah.

“It’s excellent news for expatriates. This will give confidence to them that they belong to this country,” said Karimuddin, a well-known pediatrician and a recipient of India’s Pravasi Bharatiya Samman (Indian Diaspora Award).

“Already we are very satisfied with everything here. But this initiative will give excellent opportunity to expatriates to serve more,” he said. Similar views were expressed by Inayat Ramjean, a Mauritian national who works as Business Development Manager for Hilton Group of hotels.

“The Deputy Crown Prince is a man of great vision. And this move is part of his vision to integrate expatriates to make them part of the Kingdom and utilize their expertise for the development of the Kingdom. This gesture will motivate expatriates to work even harder and contribute in the welfare of the Kingdom,” he said.

“It is a positive move and a visionary initiative,” said Zulqarnain Ali Khan, a Pakistani national who is chairman and CEO of Zultec Group. He said that the benefit will be more than $10 billion a year. It will be much larger as expatriates will come and open their businesses here. It will also help build local skills and develop human resources, Khan added.

The planned move is part of an ambitious package of reforms to move away from oil based revenue to raise at least an extra $100 billion a year by 2020. The planned Green Card system could generate $10 billion, and another $10 billion is expected to be generated from the fees imposed to exceed foreign worker quotas.

US Green Card is a lawful permanent residency which allows a person to live and work there. The United States Permanent Resident Card is informally called a green card because “it was green from 1946 until 1964 and on May 11, 2010 it was reverted to the color green.”
