In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Jumua’h is a Mubārak (blessed) day. This is understood from the many Ahādīth expounding on the virtues of a Friday.
A believer is also fortunate and blessed to be alive on a Friday to witness the Barakah and blessings of a Friday. When one congratulates others with Jumua’h Mubārak, this is an expression of a reality. However, there is no mention in the Hadīth about Rasūlullāh Sallallāhu Alaihi Wa Sallam and Sahābah congratulating each other with Jumua’h Mubārak. Hence, one may congratulate others with Jumua’h Mubārak on condition it is not regarded to be a Sunnah or necessary.
Importance Jummah Namaz(Prayer)
Jumm῾ah salāh is Fardh-e-῾ayn (obligatory). It is one of the most salient features of Islām. A person who does not attend Jumm῾ah salāh without any valid excuse is a Fāssiq (sinner). Moreover, Regarding the virtue and importance of Jumm῾ah salāh Rasulullāh sallallāhu ῾alayhe wasallam said: the person takes bath on Friday and walk early to the masjid, listens to the Khutbah attentively, does not engage in futile act while Khutbah is being delivered, will get the reward of one year῾ibadah, one year fasting and one year salāh, for every step that he takes. (Tirmizi Sharīf)
On the other hand sever warning have been mentioned regarding a person who misses Jumm῾ah salāh without any valid excuse.
Hadhrat Ibn ῾Umar and Abū Hurairah radiyallahu ῾anhuma narrate that they heard Rasulullah Sallallahu alayhe wasallam saying: people should abstain from leaving out Jumm῾ah salāh. If not,Allah Ta῾āla will put a seal over their hearts whereby they will fall into severe negligence. (Muslim Sharīf)
The Prophet) SallAllahu Alayhi Wasallam) says: “The Jumuah prayer is mandatory on every believer, in congregation, except for four a slave, a woman, a child, and a sick person.”
In another hadīth Rasulullāh sallallāhu ῾alayhe wasallam said, the person who misses out threejumu῾ahs without any valid reason, Allah Ta῾āla put a seal over his heart.(Tirmizi Sharīf)
Virtues Of Jummah Namaz
The Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi Wasallam) says: “One who makes perfect wudu then comes to the Jumuah prayer and listens silently (to the Khutba), his sins are forgiving for a week with the addition of three days…”
