What is favicon

A small icon that is used by some browsers to identify a bookmarked Web site.

Favicons are most likely to be found at large, well-branded sites such as portals and media companies. When only a few sites in a long bookmark list are using a custom image, the exceptions are very prominent.

Currently, Netscape Navigator does not support favicons.

Cure for dark circles

Dark eye reflect tiredness and lack of sleep. Here are some tips to get rid of dark eye circles:

1. Dip a cotton pad in cool water and keep it on eyes for 20 minutes.

2. Dip a cotton pad in cucumber juice and then keep it on the eyes for some time.

3. Keep a cool used tea bag on your eyes.

4. Wear sunglasses while going out in sun.

5. Almond oil is a best cure for discoloration. Massage eye with 1 drop of almond oil before going to sleep.

6. Apply dark circle removing cream that is rich in vitamin E and C. Apply a light coat.

7. If you need to go to a party and don’t want to show of your dark circles, use a concealor.

8. Keep crushed mint leaves for 20 mins in the under eye area.

9. Eat diet rich in Vitamin C and Iron. This will help reduce dark circles.

10. Apply a past of turmeric and pine apple juice in the dark circle area of the eye to get rid of the dark circles.

Oracle Plans to Hire 3,500 in India

NEW DELHI: Software major Oracle Corp said it will hire 3,500 new personnel in India across all its businesses by May next year.

"Oracle has announced an aggressive recruitment drive in India to hire 3,500 employees across all its businesses that support domestic and global customers," the company said in a statement.
The company, which has the current workforce of 21,000 in the country, is looking to recruit new employees before May 2012, it added.

The hiring exercise would be part of the company's ongoing recruitment drive in Asia Pacific region and it needs additional manpower in India to support its growth across all business units --software, hardware, middleware, applications.

"With our current workforce and the new hire plan of adding 3,500 more people, we want to ensure we have the right talent, skills and attitude to fuel the growth of our company and serve our customers as they embark on their transformation journeys," Oracle India Managing Director Sandeep Mathur said.

The company is looking to support its hiring campaign through innovative social media initiatives, using platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube and the Oracle HR blog.

Oracle has development centres in Bangalore and Hyderabad in India.

The Bangalore centre focuses on Oracle's core application development tools, server and platform technologies, while the Hyderabad centre is dedicated to e-business applications.
